I agree with Raoul that the second
chapter could be described as “odd”. When the government organization did not
tell K. of the time or room the interrogation would occur it seemed strange.
Even though it is evident that K.’s government is completely different than
ours, it still seems very unorganized and strange. One usually views that
government, as an organized institution that is trying to do good but instead
it seems to be the opposite in K.’s country. Also I think it’s very odd that K.
does not recognize the organizations symbol, he only realizes that they are all
wearing it. It also seems strange that they have a court system that the countries
own people don’t seem to understand. I also agree with Raoul that K. should not
have accused the officials and instead he should have been trying to prove his
innocence, but I guess that it would be hard because he has no idea what he is
being accused for. Also it makes sense that K. would act that way because he
thinks that he is above everyone and he is a bit arrogant. Like Raoul I am
still unsure of my feelings towards the book.
