Like Raoul, the oddity of chapter two is perplexing to me. I am beginning
to experience this dreamlike sensation more and more. I do not understand the
legal system so far whatsoever. One second they are containing him without any acknowledgement,
then the next they are letting him live his life and scheduling his trials
whenever convenient. Also, like Raoul mentioned, the ambiguity in their
directions is very unusual. The legal system we are used to is very specific on
information regarding a person’s trial, giving detailed reports on locations,
times, etc. The fact that the hearing is in an apartment building, hidden in
the back of a room is sketchy and not realistic. In addition, the arrangement
of officials present and the way their badges are revealed supports the dreamlike
speculation. K.’s situation is
extremely questionable and I am curious in what will occur next.
