Like Kaylee I believed this section
of The Trial was uneventful. I think it was strange that her version left out
the chapter completely, but this probably supports my idea that this chapter is
unimportant to the novels central focus. Similar to Kaylee, I do not understand
why Fraulein Burstner is so angry with K. I even had to look back in my book to
remember what had occurred. Honestly the interactions between Miss Burstner and
K. did not seem that strange compared to everything else that has been
occurring in the novel. Similarly I did not feel like their interactions ended
stangly, maybe something else occurred that is not mentioned in the novel? I
agree with Kaylee that at the end of the chapter K. believes that the Captain
and Miss Montag are making a big deal about what is occurring, but I think that
in reality they were not really concerned with anything happening, K. just
always believes everything revolves around him and has to do with him.
